Day 1: Pick up from 7:30am daily – Enjoy the new dawn and discover Cambodia as it really is! An “all Inclusive” expedition with professional guides exploring the unspoiled countryside around Phnom Penh! See breathtaking landscape while going through back country roads. Crossing the forest, unusual bridges and streams, visit small colorful villages and have a first-hand experience with the local people. See their life in their typical home.
This tour includes a local style lunch served by the Tonlé Bati Lakeside where we also explore a pair of Angkorian-Era temples. After lunch the tour continues to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary where homes are given to animals confiscated from illegal traffickers or saved from poachers. Then you will venture deeper into the forest and visit a hidden pagoda which offers an impressive view of the surrounding fields.
Then we will stop in the simple house where you will spend the dinner and the night with a local family, share daily activities, learn to cook some dishes and catch the sunset in the rice fields.
Day 2: After breakfast, we will drive the quad bikes through the villages and rally Cheung Ek where we will visit the infamous Killing Fields (audio tour)*, the mass graves from the Pol Pot regime. 12:30 pm- Return to Phnom Penh.
* Those who don’t wish to visit the Killing Fields will have even more time to enjoy driving the quads.
-Shooting Range: We have many requests of guests who want to go to the Shooting Range, as it is near our office. We don’t think it matches with our tours, we would like to show a different side of Cambodia. However, for the Rambos, you can let us know and we will arrange with our driver to make a stop there. Please note: This is not part of our tours, we decline any responsibility while you are there.
- Pick up& Drop off at the hotel
- Quad rental and helmet
- Soft drinks and beer on the whole trip
- Entrance fee
If you would like to take the Audio Tour at the Killing Fields, you will have to add 3$ directly at the Killing Fields Memorial.
You can bring anything you think that can be useful for the children who live in the villages: clothes, toys, books, color pencils, soaps… (old or new) and we will distribute it on the way.
But please, never give money to the children!
